By accessing or using HomeWorth, you confirm that you have read and understood this Disclosure. If you do not agree with these practices, you must not use the application.

1. About HomeWorth

HomeWorth is a mobile-first surveying and valuation platform developed by SDL Surveying Limited (Company Registration Number: 02411812) to modernise residential property inspections, reporting, and operational workflows.

Built specifically for residential surveying and valuation professionals, HomeWorth integrates intelligent lender-driven workflows, dynamic smart forms, digital site data capture, floor plan creation, photographic evidence management, valuation support tools, and automated report generation within a single, connected mobile experience.

The platform supports the complete end-to-end surveying journey — from initial instruction and on-site inspection through to valuation, quality assurance, and final report submission — enabling surveyors and operational teams to work efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with lender and regulatory requirements.

2. Scope of This Disclosure

This Privacy Disclosure applies to all users of the HomeWorth application, including:

  • SDL Surveying Limited employees and contractors accessing HomeWorth in the course of their duties
  • Approved panel surveyors and third-party professionals granted access to the platform
  • Lender representatives and client contacts who interact with outputs generated by HomeWorth

This Disclosure covers data collected and processed through the HomeWorth mobile application and any associated web interfaces or back-end services that support it.

3. Information We Collect

HomeWorth collects and processes the following categories of information in order to deliver its core functionality:

3.1 Property and Inspection Data

  • Property details including address, type, tenure, and physical characteristics
  • Inspection records, valuation figures, and associated commentary
  • Condition ratings, risk assessments, and comparable market evidence

3.2 Documentary and Photographic Evidence

  • Site photographs, floor plan sketches, and supporting documents captured during inspection
  • Signed-off reports and valuation certificates submitted through the platform

3.3 Location Data

  • Geolocation data associated with inspected properties, used to verify attendance and support mapping functionality
  • Location data is collected only during active use of the application and solely in relation to inspection activity

3.4 User Account and Authentication Information

  • User identity, login credentials, and role-based access permissions
  • Session activity and authentication logs for security and audit purposes

3.5 Device and Technical Information

  • Device type, operating system, and HomeWorth application version
  • Diagnostic data, crash reports, and performance metrics used to maintain and improve the platform

4. How We Use This Information

SDL Surveying Limited processes information collected through HomeWorth for the following purposes:

Information processed through HomeWorth may be disclosed to the following categories of recipients, strictly on a need-to-know basis and subject to appropriate data protection obligations:

  • SDL Surveying Limited personnel involved in instruction management, quality assurance, and operational oversight
  • Approved panel surveyors and specialist contractors engaged to carry out or support inspection activities

  • Technology, hosting, and platform service providers engaged by SDL Surveying Limited to support the operation of HomeWorth

SDL Surveying Limited retains information collected through HomeWorth for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Disclosure, and in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory retention requirements.

Retention periods are governed by SDL Surveying Limited’s Data Retention Policy, which takes into account the nature of the data, the purposes for which it was collected, and any statutory or contractual obligations that apply. Once data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised in accordance with that policy.

SDL Surveying Limited applies appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect information processed through HomeWorth against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include:

  • Handle all personal data accessed through the application in compliance with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and SDL Surveying Limited’s internal data protection policies
  • Log out of the application when not in use and take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to active sessions
  • Report any suspected data breach, unauthorised access, or security concern to the SDL Surveying Limited IT team or Data Protection Officer as soon as practicable
  • Avoid accessing, downloading, or sharing data beyond what is necessary for the performance of authorised duties
